North of England-based fund manager FW Capital has appointed three new members of staff to its North East team.

FW Capital is responsible for investing the £102m NPIF FW Capital Debt Finance in the Tees Valley as well as the £10 million Tees Valley Catalyst Fund and the new £10 million North East Property Fund.

New recruits include Investment Executive Steve Teasdale, Portfolio Executive Lindsey Grieves and Investment Support Administrator Claire Bushby.

Steve is an Investment Executive working across funds managed in Cumbria and the Tees Valley. He is based in FW Capital’s Tees Valley offices. Steve is responsible for identifying and investing in eligible small and medium businesses that require funding from the £102m NPIF FW Capital Debt Finance focussing on Tees Valley, but with the ability to support businesses in Yorkshire and Humber. The fund can make loan and mezzanine investments of between £100,000 and £750,000.

With over 20 years commercial lending experience, he has previously worked as the Area Director - Operations and Risk for HSBC Bank Plc, Tyne Tees Business Banking Centre and has extensive knowledge of the business community in the North East of England.

Lindsey is a Portfolio Executive in the North East. She is responsible for managing FW Capital existing and growing portfolio in the North East of England.

Lindsey spent 19 years working for NEL Fund Managers, where she managed an extensive portfolio of businesses in a range of sectors. During this time she built up a strong network of highly skilled professionals in the North East region.

“We have a great portfolio of companies here in the North East,” added Lindsey. “I’m excited to be working with them and helping businesses in the region maximise their opportunities for success.”

Claire is a highly experienced administrator with previous experience at Drive Vauxhall, Lubrizol, British Gas and DFS. She will provide administration and operational support for our North East investment and portfolio teams.
